Because of the volume of fish that we sell, our suppliers provide us with the "top of the catch" each day. This translates to the best fish delivered to you each day.

How and where the wild fish are caught have an overriding effect on the wild fish we purchase. Star Fish Market requests that the fish are caught in an environmentally standard for sustainable and well managed fisheries. A high percentage of wild caught are seasonal. Don't hesitate to ask for any species of fish as we have unlimited sources to obtain your particular request.

Farm Raised Fish is produced in a controlled environment where all aspects of the fish raising process can be monitored. This includes the food they eat, to the temperature and quality of the water.

Farmed fish and Aquaculture is the fastest growing sector of the fishing industry. It's an important segment of the seafood industry in order to keep the prices and the availability to all customers. Star Fish Market seeks out the most environmentally safe and sustainable farms.

Shrimp is the most consumed seafood in the world.

Shrimp are both commercially fished and farmed raised. Shrimp are usually purchased by the pound.

Star Fish Market cooks the farm raised XL shrimp on an hourly basis. This is the only size shrimp that Star Fish Market will cook at your request. There are usually 17 pieces to a pound of our cooked XL shrimp.

Always fresh, always convenient! We usually carry three sizes of shrimp:

• 13 to 15 per pound

• 16 to 20 per pound (WILD)

• 26 to 30 per pound

• any sizes available upon request

Always specify if you prefer wild or farm raised. We peel and devein XL shrimp (only) at your request.

Shellfish can be harvested in a farmed raised environment or wild caught. Shellfish is determined by the outer shell.

Star Fish Market shellfish consists of clams, lobsters, oysters and mussels. We always source the waters our shellfish are caught in, and demand that they are raised or wild caught in an envirnomentally and sustainable manner. We can obtain shellfish from all over the world, please, don't hesitate, just ask.

We make our own stuffed specialties right on the premises.

Our stuffing is made with the best ingredients and "lots of fish." At the store; the display case to the left of the fish case is full of specialty dips and smoked fish. Check it out the next time you visit.
